Meeting with Minister Margarita Gonzalez Fernandez and Cuba's delegation before the seminar, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, affirmed: “The visit of Comrade Minister of Labor and Social Security marked important step in the cooperation between the two Ministries in particular on the fields of labor, employment and social security and the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba in general.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated Cuba's great achievements in education, health care and social security. The promotion of economic growth coupled with ensuring social justice, people-centered development is a top priority for Vietnam and Cuba.

Thanks to the thoughtful and cordial reception of Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, Ms. M. Gonzalez Fernandez wishes to discuss more deeply about the policies of the two Ministries, as well as about human resource development and social security.

According to M. Gonzalez Fernandez, the Government of Vietnam has many areas of close relationship with Cuba, so the cooperation between the two Ministries will also contribute to joint development of the special relationship of the two countries.

Regarding the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Molisa and Cuba's Ministry of Labor and Social Security on cooperation in the field of human resource development and social security in March 2018 during the trip of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to Cuba, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said: “The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is an important premise for cooperation in the field of society and promote cooperation between the two Ministries. This memorandum also makes an important contribution to promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, Governments and people of the two countries.

“Therefore, in the coming time, the two sides will strengthen cooperation through the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, especially focusing on enhancing sharing of experiences and exchanges in order to complete labor and employment policies, employment and social welfare in a new context; cooperate to share experiences in building a social security model associated with sustainable growth; invite Cuban experts to share experiences and train human resources for DNA testing. The side of Cuba creates favorable conditions for labor policies and salaries for Vietnamese joint ventures investing in Cuba to recruit suitable workers” - Minister Dao Ngoc Dung emphasized.

Ms. M. Gonzalez Fernandez also said that the Government of Vietnam has many areas of close ties with Cuba, so the cooperation between the two Ministries will also contribute to promoting the relationship of the two countries. The Memorandum of Cooperation in March 2018 was the second Molisa signed with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Cuba.

During her working visit to Vietnam, Minister M. Gonzalez Fernandez wanted the two sides to continue to discuss in depth their policies, as well as discuss how to best implement the content signed in the Memorandum of cooperation on the field of human resource development and social security between the two Ministries, including labor policy issues, social security, protection of low-income people.

Ending the seminar, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said: During about a week of visiting and working in Vietnam, the Molisa has arranged a program for the delegation to understand about labor policy development, jobs at the central as well as the implementation situation and practice in localities./.
