Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh worked with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs

(LĐXH)- On May 19, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh worked with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) on the situation of the sector's task performance, outstanding and urgent tasks to be solved; important, strategic tasks as well as recommendations of the sector. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam also attended the event.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that in the past time, the MoLISA and sector have achieved many outstanding positive results.
In which, poverty reduction is a bright spot and recognized by the international community and highly appreciated by the people. It has been contributing to the overall results of the country.
The labor market continues to develop. Human resources increase in both quantity and quality. In some industries, they reach regional and international levels.
The policy of preferential treatment for people with meritorious services and social security has been seriously implemented with breakthroughs. The social assistance is expanding and better coveraged.
Gender equality; protection and education of children have been paid attention and achieved many achievements. Party building and administrative reform also have achieved certain achievements.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said: “These results are achieved thanks to the attention and direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; the unity within the Ministry to overcome difficulties, challenges and overcome weaknesses; closely follow the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, the direction and administration of the Government; the coordination of Ministries, branches, agencies and localities.

Agreeing with the key tasks reported by the Ministry in the coming time, the Prime Minister suggested MoLISA to focus on overcoming shortcomings, weaknesses and unresolved issues that have lasted many years.
In particular, the Prime Minister asked to propose breakthrough solutions to solve the long-standing backlogs and limitations.

Reporting to the Prime Minister, Minister MoLISA Dao Ngoc Dung said that in the past 5 years, the Ministry has closely followed the guidelines and resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly and the Government; concretized into programs process, action plan, "dare to think, dare to do" with many new and creative ways of doing things, focusing on well implementing strategic breakthroughs in institutional building and improvement.
The lives of people with meritorious services have been continuously improved. Every year, the state budget spends more than 32 trillion VND to implement preferential regimes for people with meritorious services and their relatives.
The result of job creation has been outstanding, creating millions of new jobs with better income, being one of the 10 countries with the lowest unemployment rate in the world.
Social assistance policies have covered almost all target groups of all ages.  Children are well protected and cared for…
In the coming time, the Ministry and it’s sectors will determine the viewpoint of implementing a comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable social policy with 3 core contents: Improving labor skills; decent job creation; sustainable social security with the two most basic pillars, including social insurance and health insurance./.
