National forum on Skilling Up Vietnam

(LĐXH)- Theme "Enterprises accompany with the reform and advancement of the quality of Vocational Education and Training (VET)".
With the consent of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the National Forum "Enhancing Vietnamese labor skills" (SKILLING UP VIETNAM) with the theme: Businesses accompanying innovation and improving the quality of vocational education.
This is the first time, the Government and the Prime Minister have organized and chaired a forum on Vietnamese labor skills, together with the leaders of the Party, National Assembly, Government, Ministers, with the participation of organization of 3 Ministries: Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to Dr. Truong Anh Dung, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Vocational Education and Training under the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the forum aims to affirm the vision and aspirations in preparing human resources with knowledge and skills, contributing to improve labour productivity and competitiveness, to meet the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and international integration.
This event is considered as an opportunity to evaluate the results of three years of implementing the Law on Vocational Education; to promote communication, the position and role of vocational education to the society and business community in order to continue increasing the scale and raising the quality of vocational education.
Under the framework of the national forum, a series of main activities and sideline activities will take place. The main programme of the forum is organised into three sessions under the direction of the Prime Minister.
Specifically, the sessions will focus on the themes: Skilled human resources - The key to improving labour productivity and increasing national competitiveness, Innovating and improving the quality of vocational education - A decisive factor to improve Vietnamese labour skills, and The accompaniment of enterprises in renovating and improving the quality of vocational education.
The sideline activities of the forum will include many seminars on a number of solutions to innovate and improve the quality of vocational education in a number of key economic sectors and fields such as tourism, supporting industry, information technology and logistics.
In addition, some exhibits of models, images and typical training equipment in linking vocational education with businesses will also be organised. The General Department of Vocational Education and a number of vocational education institutions will also sign cooperation agreements with some large corporations, enterprises and international organizations.
