Minister Dao Ngoc Dung attended the 22nd ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Meeting

(LĐXH) - From November 1 to 2, 2019, the 22nd Conference on the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) was held in Bangkok - Thailand. The second ASCC's 2019 meeting aimed to review and approve the results and documents of the Socio-Cultural Community for submission to the 35th ASEAN Summit.
The Vietnamese delegation was headed by the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) Dao Ngoc Dung, and the officials of the MoLISA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.   
The 22nd ASCC Ministers
The 22nd ASCC Conference reviewed and adopted 6 documents and Community Declaration for submission to the 35th ASEAN Summit, including: (1) ASEAN Joint Statement on Climate Change to launched at the 25th Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change; (2) Statement on the Protection of Children from all forms of online child exploitation and abuse in ASEAN; (3) ASEAN Statement on children in the context of migration; (4) Bangkok Statement on Education for the Development of Partnership in Education towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainability; (5) Joint Statement on Reasserting Commitment to Promote the Rights of children in ASEAN; and (6) Statement of ASEAN Leaders on Security and Self-Vaccine.  
In addition, the Meeting agreed to submit to the ASEAN Senior Leaders a recognition of three documents and Statement, including: (1) Regional procedures and guidelines on dealing with the problem of trafficked victims, especially women and children; (2) ASEAN Statement on Enhancing Public Services in the Digital Economy; and (3) Regional action plan for the implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on Strengthening Education for out-of-school Children and Youth (OOSCY).
Thus, Declaration of all 3 pillars of Politics - Security, Economy and Culture – Society, Culture – Society included 9 documents. The statement, which will submit to the 35th ASEAN Summit, shows the great effort to advance the priorities of the Community in different areas, towards sustainable development to face challenges in ASEAN.
The Ministers/Heads of Delegations also expected to accelerate the Mid-term Review of the implementation of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Master Plan up to 2025 in 2020 and the East Timo survey to learn about ability to meet the ASEAN's expectations of this country.
At the end of the Conference, the Ministers/Heads of Delegations lauched a Joint Statement and Report of ASCC which will be approved at the ASEAN Summit 35.
Speaking at the Conference, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated the achievements of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community in 2019./.
