Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam warmly welcomed the Director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office in Vietnam

(LĐXH) On March 30th, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Trong Dam met Kim Jinoh, Director of the Office of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam for his new term. Representatives of the International Cooperation Department and the Gender Equality Department are also presented.
On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam congratulated Mr. Kim Jinoh on his assignment in Vietnam as Director of the Office of KOICA in Vietnam. He also hoped that Mr.Kim could be the bridge for close cooperation between MOLISA and KOICA.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam also highly appreciated the cooperation and support of KOICA in recent years in areas such as occupational safety and health, vocational training, gender equality... At the present, the collaboration between Vietnam and Korea has developed in depth, especially the projects supporting the training center on labor safety and gender equality which achieved success and effectiveness. Vietnam expects South Korea to  support the National Occupational Safety Training Center in Ho Chi Minh City to train staffs on occupational safety and health in order to work at enterprises.
In the field of human resource training, Vietnam is implementing a comprehensive renovation of the vocational education system with a vision to 2030 to reach regional and world level. In particular, Vietnam has received KOICA support for five high quality vocational schools. This was a good training model which was expected to help some vocational schools in the future ... In addition, with his experience, the Deputy Minister believed that KOICA will continue to help Vietnam in many other areas such as social assistance, coping with population aging, people with disabilities...
Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, Mr. Kim Jinoh thanked the Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam and said that during his tenure in Vietnam, he and KOICA will try to improve the cooperation between the two countries, especially programs related to MOLISA. For the projects that have been implemented in Vietnam, KOICA will continue to discuss, select consultants and develop plans to continue the implementation from April 2017...
Kim Jinoh also affirmed that during his three-year term in Vietnam, he and his collaborators will try their best to develop a good and close working relationship between KOICA office and Vietnamese partners.
